Meet Our Export Team

As well as manufacturing the highest-quality architectural and garden stonework for clients across the UK, our Export team partner with customers and distributors across the globe.

From France to the Middle East and as far afield as Australia, our busy Export team have worked on hundreds of international projects, both large and small.

In this week’s blog, Jamie Buckseall, our Export Project Manager tells us what he enjoys most about his role at Haddonstone, and some of the projects that he is most proud of.

Jamie, tell us about your role as Export Project Manager at Haddonstone

I oversee projects from all over the world, from Ireland to Australia.

A client will call, email or arrange a Zoom meeting with me to discuss the details of their projects. They will then send architectural drawings or a list of items. I will then study the plans and put together a quotation, which includes delivery.

Once we have finalised the quotation and an order is placed, I will process the order and drawings for their approval.

After this has been processed and the items have been manufactured, we ship them using one of our preferred logistics partners.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

I love my role within Haddonstone’s Export team and love working with people of different nationalities.

It feels great to know that my work is appreciated around the world – and I look forward seeing some of my projects if I am ever visiting in the future.

Are there are particular projects you enjoy working on?

I have a passion for French and European architecture, so naturally I love working on French châteaux.

Château Bussemont, Saint-Lumier-la-Populeuse, in north-eastern France was one of the first projects I worked on when I joined the Export team and after seeing photos of it, I fell in love with the property.

I have enjoyed working with our experienced studio and manufactory team on this beautiful restoration project.

I am currently working on another French Château in Normandy, Château du Bouillon.  Situated in Lower Normandy-Manche Department, this property served as a German headquarters and a prison in World War II.

Established in 1408 by a Marquis and local governor, Château du Bouillon is now home to Ecurie Qardabiyah. a unique equestrian centre for the breeding and training of Arabian horses.

The Château sits within 64 hectares of paddocks including woods, a 17’s century castle, and other buildings, as well as first-class equestrian facilities.

We are currently delivering the first batch of architectural stonework and I really look forward to seeing this beautiful project develop.

You can see more about this project on their website: Château du Bouillon.

How does the Export team work with global distributors?

We have numerous distributors around the world, and we are constantly looking for new ones to partner with.

The distributors take care of the customers under their own companies and source the items from us.  They send plans and item lists to me for quoting, and they will then use our delivery or their own.

We treat the distributors as our extended family and always are happy to help them and find out what is happening where they are.

Some of our distributors include:
