About this project

Igleheart Gardens Arboretum and Bird Sanctuary is located in Evansville, Indiana.  The gardens were originally created by Phyllis Igleheart Kerdasha in memory of her parents, and celebrates the legacy of the prominent Igleheart family.  Addison Igleheart, (grandfather of Phyllis Igleheart), invented Swans Down Cake Flour in the last 1800’s which immediately became the world’s most popular cake flour, winning the Grand Prize for Cake Flour at the World’s Fair in 1904.

The gardens preserve and enhance 25 acres of scenic hardwood landscape, including the family’s elegant 1925 French Chateau, a historic horse barn and multiple historic structures.

Over the years, designs from Haddonstone’s beautiful Home and Garden collection have been added to the gardens.  This includes:

• Cast stone statues and plinths, including our four elements statues
• Traditional planters, from our Gothic Vase to our Haddonstone Box
• Cast stone garden furniture, including Haddonstone’s Straight 51 inch Chimera Seat
  
• Finials such as the Festoon of Fruit and Vine House Finial
• A selection of our popular bird baths, fitting for this bird sanctuary location, including the Highland Park Bird Bath and the Georgian Bird Bath.
