University of Northampton Students Awarded Prizes by Haddonstone

Four talented students from the University of Northampton were yesterday awarded prizes by Haddonstone for their successful new product ideas.

Second year undergraduate students from the Product Design BSc (Hons) course were tasked to develop ideas to form part of a new street furniture range for the Northamptonshire-based company.  The students devised a variety of products designed to be produced using Haddonstone’s unique cast stone materials – and successful concepts could be added to the commercial range of architectural, landscaping and garden products.

A committee from Haddonstone chose their top four ideas and it is hoped that some of the students’ ideas will be translated into prototypes later this year.
