Raise The Bar – With Elegant Balustrading

Elegant, made to order balustrading can be used to enhance all kinds of projects.

From courtyards and patios to balconies and stairways, balustrades offers practicality as well as decorative flair.

In this week’s blog, we walk you through our balustrade range, so you can see for yourself how it could raise the bar of your next landscaping project.

  • balustrading

What is balustrading?

A balustrade is a railing that is supported by baluster bars.  It is most commonly used for both practical and decorative purposes, creating dramatic staircases, elegant balconies and terraces.

Balustrading is useful for separating external areas, such as delineating individual sections of a garden or lawn.

Most commonly used for exterior landscaping projects, balustrading is so versatile that it can be used indoors too.

  • Haddonstone balustrading and steps

What makes our balustrading so special?

Using a combination of entirely handmade components, our cast stone baustrading is of the highest-quality.  Available in a range of standard designs, our expert team can also create bespoke models in our in-house studio, to meet your unique project requirements.

Our balustrading is available in a variety of combinations, colours and sizes.  What’s more, our baluster bars can be manufactured to comply with building regulations as well.

As well as being suitable for commercial projects, our standard and bespoke balustrading is also ideal for residential projects.

Complementary landscaping components

To enhance your balustrading further, we offer a range of complementary landscaping components including:

Our balustrading is so versatile that you can even add matching finials, cast stone balls and planters on top of the railing, for a truly unique look.

Spoilt for choice

For gardens, landscapes and interior projects of all kinds, our versatile cast stone balustrades are available in a range of elegant designs.

Choose from a standard height range of 575mm – 1100mm.

For a more dramatic aesthetic, our 1100 balustrade has a heavier design and is perfect for creating a strong style.

Impeccable parapet screening

For a decorative take on the traditional baluster bar, parapet screening offers an attractive, versatile alternative.

Arguably, parapet screening is less formal than balustrading.  It can effortlessly create a visually striking effect, whilst offering all of the practical benefits of balustrading.

Like balustrading, parapet screening is suitable for both interior and exterior projects, and can be custom made into variable lengths, to suit your unique requirements.

Our parapet screening can be combined with other Haddonstone components.  The rails and plinths are supplied in standard lengths, which can easily be cut by your chosen installation contractor, to meet your individual project needs.
