Haddonstone Royal College of Music project featured on BBC Radio Northampton

  • bbc radio northampton

Haddonstone’s recent project with the Royal College of Music was this morning featured on BBC Radio Northampton’s Breakfast Show.

Presenter Annabel Amos interviewed Callum Jensen from Haddonstone’s Building and Construction team about the prestigious commission, which required 130 bespoke cast stone components, weighing 57 tonnes, to be produced especially for the project.

Haddonstone was selected to complete a new Courtyard as part of a £40 million philanthropic campaign: More Music: Reimagining The Royal College of Music.

The campaign will create dynamic and inspirational new spaces and facilities for students and visitors to the College’s South Kensington home, while preserving the iconic character of the original redbrick Victorian building, that has been home to the RCM since 1894.

The Courtyard project was completed in January 2020 and the entire More Music building development will be completed by late 2020.
