Haddonstone Sponsors Brixworth ParkRun

Haddonstone has been announced as corporate sponsor of the brand new weekly Brixworth parkrun.

The inaugural event took place on Saturday at Brixworth Country Park, Northampton, with approximately 150 runners pounding the pavement at this free community event.  They were joined by a team of seven runners from Haddonstone, including David Barrow, Haddonstone’s Managing Director, who all enjoyed taking part and supporting the event.

As part of their sponsorship of the event, Haddonstone purchased a wide range of essential parkrun equipment, enabling the event to go ahead smoothly and safely.

Nick Wilson, Brixworth Park Run Committee member said:

“People think parkrun is about running, and of course many people do run their 5K on Saturday mornings.  But it is as much about people coming together to set up and run a weekly event for their community where anyone, whether taking part or helping, can be a part of it.  That vision needs people but also money to provide the equipment an event such as this needs.

That is why we as a team are so grateful for the support Haddonstone have given us, in buying these essential items so that parkrun in Brixworth can go ahead.  We look forward to using the equipment to deliver an event for the village and wider area, and we look forward to welcoming Haddonstone staff at our event.”
