The Project
Our team was commissioned to design and produce preimum-quality bespoke cast stone architectural components for this impressive new-build private residence in London.
All of the cast stonework elements were produced using our wet-cast limestone TecStone material. This material was chosen for its smooth, contemporary surface texture which does not weather quickly and is easy to clean. This robust material was also chosen because our team were able incorporate structural reinforcement and cast-in fixings, which were required for the creation of the bespoke arched portico.
Our classic Portland colour was chosen for the project so that the crisp cast stone detailing would beautifully complement and contrast with the red brickwork.

Bespoke Haddonstone components produced for the project included:
- Façade stonework to create a dramatic entranceway, featuring a bespoke arched portico and ashlar cladding
- Window dressings including cills and heads featuring integrated, projecting keystones
- A wall dressing produced in the form of two simple string courses to enhance the façade brickwork
- Upper cornice with simple decorative molding encircles and crowns the roofline, fairy-tale turret and floor to ceiling dining room windows
- Crisp, complementary copings to complete the red brick garden walls and piers, and the two elegant upper terraces
- A simple gable vent framed by bespoke wall dressings.
Creating an elegant entranceway
Façade stonework to create a dramatic entranceway, featuring a bespoke arched portico and ashlar walling blocks.
The dramatic entranceway to the property was designed and produced using bespoke elements, and creates a truly impressive feature.
This unusual arched portico is constructed of six elegantly fluted columns, crowned by classic Ionic capitals.
The bespoke entablature features intricate dentil detailing to the cornice.
Ashlar cladding was installed underneath the portico, onto the main entranceway wall, to frame the sophisticated doorway.
