Award-Winning Project: Monsieur George Hotel & Spa | Haddonstone

The Client

 Monsieur George Hotel & Spa is a sumptuously elegant, bijoux 5-star hotel located in the heart of Paris, directly off the Champs-Élysées.  Part of Paris’ Monsieur Collection group, this 46-bedroom hotel resides in an elegant Haussman-style corner property and is the very image of opulence and Parisian grandiose.

The hotel launched in March 2020, following a significant design project by world-renowned luxury interior designer Anouska Hempel.  After a successful career as an actress, during which Anouska Hempel gained prominence by starring in the James Bond classic “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”,

, she turned her attention towards interior design and her synonymous brand has achieved incredible success ever since.

Anouska Hempel is famous for transforming notable historical buildings such as 

• The Grosvenor House Suites on Park Lane in London 
• The Franklin Hotel in Knightsbridge
• The Duxton Reserve Hotel in Singapore 

And many more significant  private residences based in the UK and internationally. , 

Hempel has also injected her trademark style and elegance into the designs of yachts, landscapes, gardens and the flagship retail stores of Louis Vuitton in Paris and Van Cleef & Arpels jewellery boutiques worldwide.

For the Hotel Monsieur George project in Paris, Haddonstone was approached by Anouska Hempel to supply 14 small and 4 large, intricate bespoke brackets for the hotel’s interior hallways, main entrance and the exterior façade. The brackets were to be illuminated from behind by a warm white uplight and therefore to serve as beautiful stone accent lights complementing the hotel’s overall Haussman style.
