Octagon Developments use Haddonstone for prestigious new development at Bishops Row

The Client

Octagon Developments is an award-winning luxury residential developer based in Surrey. With over 40 years of architectural expertise, they specialise in prestigious houses, mansions and apartments in premier locations.

The brief

Octagon approached the team at Haddonstone to manufacture high quality cast stonework for a new development on Bishops Row in Fulham, London.

Bishops Row is a terrace of nine elegant houses running parallel to the River Thames. The deceptively spacious 4/5 bedroom townhouses are centred around family living with high specification finishes. The design features innovative outdoor spaces including courtyard gardens, balconies and terraces overlooking the river.

The solution

The location and prestige of the Bishops Row development required high attention to detail and a luxurious finish. Our team worked closely with Octagon to ensure that the stonework would reflect the prestigious vision for the development.

Our high specification stonework was used to enhance the façade of each property with designs ranging from porticos, parapets and balustrading to cladding, pier caps and window surrounds.

Each property includes an impressive entrance walkway through a walled garden featuring pier caps and copings manufactured by our skilled team. A portico with a balustraded balcony was used to provide a grand entrance into each property.

The private walled gardens to the rear of Bishops Row were also enhanced with our capping stones and cladding to provide a more contemporary feel.

Whilst some of our standard products worked well for the project there was also a need to produce custom-made cast stonework to suit the high specification design requirements.

The results

With Bishops Row nearing completion, we are delighted with the high specification finish of the development, sitting proudly on the River Thames.
