In architecture, a Banding (otherwise known as a band course) is a horizontal band in a building. A Banding or band course can either be flush with brickwork or projecting to provide an interesting architectural feature - often used to break up a monotonous expanse of brickwork. A Banding or band course is an aesthetic device that occurs in virtually every style of Western architecture from classical Roman through Anglo-Saxon and Renaissance to modern. String courses or band courses are often used in conjunction with other architectural dressings such as plinth courses and quoins. The Q350, Q370, Q371, Q400 and Q450 are our standard Banding designs.
