Porticos in the eighteenth and nineteenth century were a frequent feature of a house. Haddonstone cast stone porticos provide welcome shelter from the elements whilst also offering the opportunity to embellish an otherwise dull entrance with an individual design. Today, porticos are sometimes also referred to as a porch or entranceway and are often associated with Georgian, neo Georgian or Georgian Revival styles.
Haddonstone porticos can provide a grand entrance, giving a property added kerb appeal and value. A portico can be added at a relatively low cost by combining Haddonstone architectural components - including columns, half columns, pilasters and entablature. Haddonstone's collection of cast stone porticos include five standard designs. It is also possible to combine each architectural component to create a completely new portico design.
Haddonstone also manufactures custom-made porticos and porches to individual designs including curved and octagonal styles. Haddonstone porticos can be manufactured to practically any height, width or depth. The photographs below show examples of porticos Haddonstone has created for clients.
