Haddonstone Cast Stone
Cast stone is a unique form of cast limestone with a surface texture similar to Portland stone. In a number of important ways Haddonstone cast stone is markedly superior, one of its greatest advantages of cast stone being price, which, piece for piece, is normally significantly less than that of quarried stone or natural stone.
Cast stone is a versatile material and can be used for new build, stone restoration and garden or landscape projects and is used to manufacture architectural door and window surrounds pier caps, balustrade and finials, building materials or cast stone planters, fountains, statues, garden ornaments and water features for the garden.
Cast stone is made using one of three main manufacturing methods, semi-dry, wet-cast or fibre reinforced. It must meet the requirements of BS1217: 2008 or, better still, the more stringent requirements of the UKCSA Standard.
Haddonstone is a founder member of the United Kingdom Cast Stone Association (UKCSA). The United Kingdom Cast Stone Association defines strict levels of cast stone technical performance.
